Joseph Harris and Kathleen Murray met in 2011 at a dinner Joseph cooked on the Mendocino coast, and they have cooked, traveled and built together ever since. Joseph is the chef: fifty years at the stove, trained in French technique, cooking Italian the way families eat at home. Kathleen, an artist, opened the Mercato in 2017. Italy is their second home, and they go there to meet the people who make what's on our shelves.
